Sonja Møller har en uddannelse indenfor tekstilkunsthåndværk med speciale i tryk. Hun har haft flere udstillinger i Vestjylland og på Langeland. Desuden er hun tilknyttet Grafisk værksted i Odense og deltager i deres udstillinger.

Den tekstile baggrund afspejler sig i de teknikker der indgår i Sonja Møllers værker. Billederne er præget af stoflighed og er i høj grad inspireret af hendes interesse for naturen. Motiverne er naturalistiske med et tvist af abstraktion og går ofte ganske tæt på motivet. Ønsket er blandt andet at afspejle naturens skønhed og ro i kontrast til det omgivende samfund, der ofte er præget af heftig aktivitet på alle fronter.

I de grafiske værker er hendes foretrukne teknik linoleumstrykket, hvor Sonja Møller gerne arbejde med en enkelt farve på det hvide papir, kontraster, harmoni og fortællinger.

Sonja Møller has a degree in textile arts and crafts, specialising in printmaking. She has had several exhibitions in West Jutland and on Langeland. She is also affiliated with Grafisk værksted in Odense and participates in their exhibitions.

The textile background is reflected in the techniques used in Sonja Møller’s works. The images are characterised by textures and are largely inspired by her interest in nature. The motifs are naturalistic with a twist of abstraction and are often quite close to the subject. One of her aims is to reflect the beauty and tranquillity of nature in contrast to the surrounding society, which is often characterised by intense activity on all fronts.

In her graphic works, her preferred technique is linocut, where Sonja Møller likes to work with a single colour on white paper, contrasts, harmony and narratives.
